The Arizona Science Center is located at 600 East Washington Street in the Heritage and Science Park of downtown Phoenix. It opened in 1984 and was originally named the Arizona Museum of Science & Technology. Its building was designed by Antoine Predock and completed in 1997. The Arizona Science Center houses the world’s largest collection of live animals. Visitors to the Arizona Science Center are guaranteed to learn about the natural world, the human body, and the cosmos.

Things to Do

The Arizona Science Center is a museum and educational center. The center features over 2,500 exhibits in six galleries, including a 3-D virtual reality experience and an interactive 3D printer. There are live presentations twice daily, at noon and at 2 p.m. Each presentation features different animals, so there is a wide variety of animal interaction experiences.
